Arcadis This role supports our US Places Design & Engineering business area in delivering Federal projects across the USA. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team on Federal Agency facility design projects, leading the fire protection, fire alarm, and life safety discipline through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. This is a remote role but will require domestic travel to project sites (approximately 35% of the time). Role responsibilities
Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with inter-disciplinary coordination. Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and staffing plans, and identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities. Fluency in design and modeling software that includes Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, etc. Design fire protection systems for heavy industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and processing facilities (e.g., water and wastewater treatment sites, EV assembly plants, lithium-ion battery plants, data centres). Travel to project sites for fire protection site surveys, data collection for fire protection studies, and collaboration with client team members. Qualifications & experience
U.S. citizenship is required for this federal role Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering with relevant experience Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities Deep knowledge of life safety codes Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, NESC, UL, and related industry standards Strong technical understanding of fire alarm and suppression systems, smoke control, and related technologies Strong communication skills for presentations, project communications, and written documents Why Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO per year. The salary range is $110,000 - $175,000, with actual salaries based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
