Overview

This is an engineering position at an operating Nuclear Power Plant supplying clean, carbon free electricity in the Pacific Northwest. The role is in the Engineering Code Programs Group, which specializes in ASME Code requirements for testing, repair and operation of the power plant, including Inservice Testing (IST), Inservice Inspection (ISI), Welding, Reactor Vessel internal inspections, Containment Local Leak Rate Testing (LLRT, Appendix J), materials and failure analyses. Responsibilities

Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, audits, inspections, and assessments, applying engineering methods, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Work with minimal supervision and provide advisory guidance on specialized or unique engineering requirements using innovative problem solving. Provide technical leadership and training on complex or extended projects; lead small groups to resolve issues and mentor other engineers. Identify needs and initiate development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance and provide interpretation for application. Identify potential design, quality, or operation issues and initiate corrective actions. Engineering duties and availability

Support Emergency Response Organization (ERO) including on-call requirements (24/7 during assigned duty periods). Work 12-hour shifts during outages as part of outage support (24/7). Provide engineering duty cycle support (24/7) including call-out availability across engineering positions. Preferred Qualifications

Mechanical, chemical or materials engineering background with Nuclear Power Plant experience and ASME code or Local Leak Rate Testing (LLRT) experience. Education and Experience

Engineer Principal

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and seven years of engineering experience; OR a high school diploma/GED with PE license and eight years of engineering experience. Engineer Senior

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and three years of discipline-specific engineering experience; OR a PE license and five years of discipline-specific engineering experience. High school diploma or GED is required. Staff Engineer

Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and at least one year of engineering experience; OR a PE license and at least one year of engineering experience. A high school diploma or GED is required. Engineer - New Grad

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a PE license with zero to three years of discipline engineering experience. A high school diploma or GED is required. Pay and Incentives

Engineer Principal Salary: $122,681 - $184,021; Midpoint: $153,351 Engineer Senior Salary: $106,670 - $160,006; Midpoint: $133,338 Engineer Staff Salary: $92,750 - $139,124; Midpoint: $115,937 Engineer Salary: $80,704 - $121,056; Midpoint: $100,880 Typically, hires are between the minimum and midpoint based on experience, market rate, internal equity, and budget.
