CML Security, LLC
An Estimator is responsible for preparing takeoffs, gathering proposals, as well as reading and understanding bidding documents. They are responsible for the estimation of all costs of projects including materials, labor and general conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage bid pricing from all vendors
Prepare takeoffs in OST
Assist in handing off projects from estimating to operations
Read and interpret architectural, detention equipment, security electronics plans, general conditions, detention equipment, and security electronics specifications
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
Resolve discrepancies in bidding documents by communications, collecting and analyzing RFP documents
Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
Consult with company experts to discuss estimates and resolve bidding issues
Track all RFP addendums and change documents
Present relevant bidding and award information to project management staff necessary for start-up and seamless transition from estimating to field operations, through document transfer and formal discussion
Lift up to 10lbs
Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Estimating experience preferred
Strong skills in Microsoft Suite of Software and Adobe or Bluebeam
On Screen Takeoff experience preferred
Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen
Pay Range: $60,000 to $80,000 Annually
