The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality geology services while working closely with the wider technical services team and production teams. This includes:

Assist with the design, planning and coordination of the coal quality drilling program.

Lead on-site drill crew management.

Core/RC logging and sampling.

Near and in-pit field mapping.

In-pit guidance of production crews.

Geoscientific data collation, validation and interpretation.

Development of geological structural maps and models.

Update of geological models for resource estimation and reconciliation.

The successful candidate will ideally have recent experience in a similar position and be looking for an opportunity to join a progressive team to develop their skills and experience.

What You Will Bring To The Role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.

A strong commitment to health and safety.

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or comparative relevant qualification.

1-3 years’ experience as a Field Geologist preferred.

Has a strong working knowledge of outcrop mapping techniques and a thorough understanding of drilling and assaying techniques.

Experience in using geological modelling software and databases.

You must also have the right to legally live and work in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
