Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for providing timely technical operations support and management oversight for news broadcasts and other live and recorded programs for WLOS/MY40TV.

Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the Production Department
Plans and manages staffing, training, and performance evaluations for the Production Department
Ensures that staffing levels are cost effective and sufficient to meet the needs of the station
Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees
Ensures station compliance with FCC broadcast rules and regulations
Monitors broadcasts to ensure that programs conform to station quality standards, policies and regulations
Manages the use of studio and editing resources
Trains employees in the use of equipment such as switchers, cameras, monitors, microphones, and lights
Assigns projects to staff and verifies that deadlines are being met
Performs various operation duties when necessitated by employee absence or other exigent circumstances
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum of 2 years in Production Management role, or a similar position within Broadcast Industry
Willingness to work 40+ hours/week on a flexible schedule that includes Day, Night, and Weekend shifts
Ability to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments, filled with unpredictable challenges and interaction with all personality types
Enthusiasm for managing hands-on projects and the resourcefulness to ‘get your hands dirty’ and make things happen
Proven and strong ability to multi-task, adapt to fast-pace environment and manage several productions start-to-finish
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organized, proactive, and quick-thinking
Degree in a related field preferred
Must be solution based, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with weekly and monthly deadlines
Knowledge of I-News, Ross Acquity, Chyron
Experience with non-union production and guidelines in various formats
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
Experience with Ross/overdrive preferred
