The role of Pet Nutrition Plant Operator II is to assist in producing livestock and/or aqua feed products, ensure quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness in daily activities. The role may involve operating equipment such as an extruder, grinder, mixer, or pellet machine, as well as working in the warehouse. This role also includes packaging, filling, assisting with formulation, and housekeeping. Responsibilities
Assist with set up of production lines, inspect materials, and blend according to scheduled jobs and specific instructions under general supervision. Operate processing equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with quality control throughout production. Document all activities accurately, including processing, maintenance, and cleaning tasks, in collaboration with the manager. Maintain facility cleanliness and follow all safety, food safety, FDA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines. Learn and perform multiple roles (mixing, bagging, forklift, loading) to support plant operations. Report safety or food safety concerns immediately. What You Bring to the Role
2 years of experience and must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to operate material handling equipment, forklift, and other equipment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time. Able to follow written and verbal directions in English and complete the necessary documentation, including basic math skills. Willing to work overtime hours as needed. High School Diploma or GED.
