Avionics Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Design/Capture electrical schematics and guide the board layouts. Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis. Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of avionics systems. Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and support product certification, system-level testing, and related activities. Qualifications

To be effective in this role, you will need: Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification; experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle; experience interacting with peers, management and government customers; strong presentations and written communication skills. Missile or Avionics design experience. 9+ years of professional experience; 7+ years with a Masters degree. Active DoD Secret clearance. Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Experience in electronics design with a focus on circuit card design and development; high-speed digital design including DDR4 and FPGA. Desired Skills

Formal schematic entry for mixed-signal designs; PCB layout and oversight of dense, mixed-signal designs with large PCB stackups. Digital circuit simulation (e.g., HyperLynx, Ansys HFFS); BOM management and part selection; formal checkout of first article hardware; test plan/procedure development; planning/scoping task development; embedded hardware design. Worst Case Analysis simulation and documentation generation; mentoring/leadership of junior/mid-level engineers; environmental testing for shock, thermal, vibe, and TVAC. Employment details
