Process Control Engineer

What You Will Do
Work closely with mill personnel to identify opportunities and solve process control-related problems Optimize and support process operations through application of process control systems and general troubleshooting Support the maintenance group in troubleshooting processes and process control systems Support the project engineering group in planning and installing new process equipment and process control systems Develop process control modifications that lead to improved safety, reduced costs, and increased efficiency Support the mill OSI PI data historian and its users Assemble reports to document process status and changes Track metrics to ensure control systems deliver expected results and identify areas for improvement Utilize organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously Share department on-call responsibilities Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR 5+ years of Process Control experience in a manufacturing/heavy industrial environment Engineering and application experience with Emerson DeltaV What Will Put You Ahead
Experience in supporting process control systems in a pulp and paper mill Knowledge of paper machine controls and QCS systems Experience with APCs, VFD drives and Allen Bradley PLCs Experience installing process control systems, including construction, checkout, and startup of new systems Experience with alarm management and rationalization Experience with cyber security, OT support and network architecture technology Our Team
