Water/Wastewater Construction Engineer- #2712.29B – Wade Trim. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, extensive water/wastewater project experience, and a New York PE license. What We Offer

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, at least ten years of water/wastewater project experience, and a New York PE license. Experience with the New York Department of Environment and/or the Department of Design and Construction is preferred. Trench and safety training and OSHA 30 Hour training are a plus. Individuals must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A valid driver’s license is required. Responsibilities
Provide and manage day-to-day construction oversight/Resident Engineering on complex water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities. Manage CM inspection staff and deliver daily inspection reports in accordance with clients’ requirements. Review construction work progress daily; perform daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, codes, and permits. Manage office staff responsible for record keeping, general correspondence, and drafting of required reports and deliverables. Manage Contractor payment processes and recommend adjustments as necessary to manage the Contractor. Maintain overall site safety, permit condition compliance, and coordination with stakeholders. Lead progress, project, safety, and scheduling discussions during construction progress meetings with the client. Monitor Contractor performance, schedule, and overall responsiveness. Generate project correspondence, including responses to Contractor communications, to protect the Owner’s interests. Act as liaison to design staff to respond to RFIs and review shop drawings. Collaborate with client, contractor(s), design engineers, and third-party stakeholders to advance projects to completion. Coordinate with local and national technical teams, including Quality Managers, Project Controls, Safety Professionals, Technical Leads, and Inspection staff. Mentor and supervise less experienced staff. Review design and bidding documents for completeness, constructability, and bidability. Perform construction administration tasks as needed, including schedule analyses, change order development/negotiation/processing, and start-up/commissioning support. Support growth of Construction Management services in the NYC metropolitan region through best practices and staffing development. Lead development of construction management pursuits, proposals, and team planning. Maintain a safe work environment. Education
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Skills/Experience
10+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater heavy civil projects Professional Engineering license in New York (required) Experience with NYC agencies and DDC preferred Primavera P6 scheduling and Sage cost estimating software experience PMIS platform knowledge (e.g., e-Builder) Familiarity with NYCDEP SOPs and pump stations/treatment plants projects 10 Hr OSHA Safety and 30 Hr OSHA training is a plus Certification: CCM ( CMAA ) preferred Valid driver’s license Excellent communication skills Salary: $187,200 - $226,720 per year.
