Overview
Technical Account Manager, Principal Engineer. Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a TAM with proven product level ownership & commercialization experience in the auto industry (OEMs or Tier1) to manage hardware and software components designed into customer projects within the Automotive group. Responsibilities
As primary owner of customer projects, manage overall project from conceptualization to mass production as part of program manager role For projects under development: drive customer issues to resolution, mitigate escalations and set expectations with the customer by collaborating with Qualcomm internal teams and customer teams on a daily basis For projects under evaluation: engage with the customer by organizing trainings, reviewing the design concept, gathering project requirements, and analyzing the gaps & risk involved in product commercialization Align customer milestones with hardware and software deliverables timeline by collaborating with Engineering, product and program management team Review the customer portfolio on a regular basis, prioritize customer projects and ensure attention for successful execution of customer projects Have strong communication skills, ability to interact with a wide cross section of the organization across Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, Hardware & Software engineering teams Customer relationship development and managing Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience OR Master\'s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience OR PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience Preferred Qualifications
Master\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field 12+ Years of software experience in embedded software development 3+ years in Automobile software development with Auto Tier1, OEM Experience in a leadership role, with Product level ownership. Experience leading and directing engineers that are in independent functional organizations Ability to proactively manage customer expectations and influence customer relations and design decisions Experience interfacing with & managing deliverables into major Auto OEMs Experience through all phases of Product life cycle from requirements, bring up, software integration, certification, commercialization Excellent communication skills, presentation, proven experience interfacing with Director level audience Program Management experience, managing complex technical projects from Tier1s, OEMs Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams Quick Adaptability to work in new technologies Exposure to Qualcomm mobile or Automotive platforms is a plus Exposure to Automotive product development and/or technical support is a plus Pay and Benefits
Pay Range:
$148,300.00 - $222,500.00 The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location. Salary is one component of total compensation. Qualcomm offers a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and may include RSU grants. A comprehensive benefits package supports success at work, home, and play.
