Summary

We are seeking an experienced MES Engineer to join our team in supporting and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within our solar panel production facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Java programming, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and experience with Rockwell FTPC platforms. This role will bridge the gap between production operations and IT systems, ensuring seamless data flow, system reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain MES solutions to support solar panel manufacturing operations. Develop, test, and implement applications and customizations primarily using Java, XML, and Oracle SQL. Configure and troubleshoot Rockwell FTPC platform components, including Process Designer’s Event Sheets and Forms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, IT) to translate business requirements into technical MES solutions. Ensure system integration between MES and ERP/WMS systems for smooth information flow across production and supply chain. Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability and compliance with manufacturing standards. Provide user training, documentation, and support to shop-floor and back-office personnel. Participate in system upgrades, patches, and validation activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data and system workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Proficiency in Java programming with experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments. Hands-on experience with Rockwell FTPC, especially Process Designer’s Event Sheets and Forms. Strong knowledge of XML and data exchange protocols. Proficiency in Oracle SQL for data queries, analysis, and integration tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with FineReport (reporting and dashboard design). Knowledge of Rockwell FTPC Shop Operations Server. Familiarity with JBoss application server administration. Proficiency in C# for cross-platform integration or legacy support. Experience with KEPServer (adding tags to devices and managing data connectivity). General understanding of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. General understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems). Prior experience in solar manufacturing.
