Base pay range $70,750.00/yr - $115,875.00/yr

Job Description Primary duties and responsibilities include developing new or modified process formulations, defining processing requirements, and reviewing techniques applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of custom and production optics.

Review product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods.

Compile and evaluate test data to determine process or material specification limits and variables.

Assist in conducting experiments and tests to evaluate new process technologies, materials, and equipment.

Collect and analyze data to identify process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize manufacturing parameters.

Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful process transfer and scale-up.

Assist in the design and implementation of fixtures, tooling, and equipment to support optical manufacturing operations.

Education & Experience

Minimum of 0-1 year of related experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Academic background in optics, materials science, or manufacturing processes

Skills

Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment and experimental techniques

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SolidWorks, and batch files

Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset

Working Conditions

May require time spent on the shop floor, collaborating with operators and maintenance teams

Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
