AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to join our growing team of design professionals in our
Williamsburg, VA
office. Position will start in May 2026 upon graduation. We provide an excellent work/life balance and an opportunity to work a hybrid (combination of office and remote) schedule.
Responsibilities
Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements and reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
Perform data entry, management, evaluation, and presentation.
Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients.
May work on field assignments as needed.
Will be supported by leaders, mentors, and teammates.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling (drainage, stormwater management, floodplain) with commonly used software.
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) exam preferred.
Design knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
