Cyber Tool Test Engineer / Functional Evaluator
Job Overview
The Cyber Tool Test Engineer supports the design, execution, and automation of functional testing for cyber tools developed under an Agile delivery framework. This position integrates early-stage testing in support of Cyber Capability Development, ensuring that developed tools meet operational and mission requirements. The engineer collaborates with developers, automation engineers, and platform engineers to incorporate test capabilities into CI/CD pipelines, conduct black-box and regression testing, and optimize system reliability.
Compensation Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities Responsible for designing and executing functional, integration, system, and acceptance tests. Develop automated test scripts using Java, Python, C++, and Bash. Configure and manage CI/CD environments (GitLab, Bamboo). Utilize tools such as Robot Framework and Appium for test automation. Analyze test results and troubleshoot software defects. Conduct Test Readiness Reviews and document overall program Test & Evaluation strategies.
Qualifications
Proficient in black-box, exploratory, regression, and security testing methodologies.
Strong understanding of CI/CD automation pipelines (Atlassian Bamboo, GitLab CI/CD).
Experience with CNO tools, Agile testing principles (BDD, ATDD).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
Ability to translate operational requirements into testable outcomes.
U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance required.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
Desired: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline

Skill in writing code in a currently supported programming language (e.g., Java, C++).
