ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position assists agents, insureds and mortgage companies with policy and billing related inquiries. It is responsible for working with their team to achieve designated service standards and assist others to meet those standards. The role processes premium payments, suspense applications and issues refund checks. It involves data entry, filing, oral and written communication, working knowledge of the Billing system and reviewing and balancing reports.

It also tracks workflow, quality control, training, CSR procedural support and fosters team, departmental and company relationships and promotes positive agency affiliations. The position may also require performing job functions within other departments as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1+ years previous office related experience preferred.

Introductory education course required if no prior insurance experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment.

Excellent PC and Data Entry skills.

Ambitious and self‑motivated.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Ability to think “Outside the Box.”

Prior Billing/Accounting experience a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS The individual must be able to effectively and clearly communicate with internal and external customers via telephone, fax, e‑mail, text messaging, one‑on‑one dialogue and small group presentations in a highly professional manner.

REASONING ABILITY The position requires the individual to apply common sense, understanding, reasoning and sound educated judgment coupled with training and experience to properly evaluate and analyze work for recommended action within assigned authority levels.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required. Additional insurance course work and seminars/webinars are recommended.

Employees may be required to travel from time to time. This may require extended periods of time sitting in a vehicle.
