Procurement Manager
will provide both strategic and operational leadership across purchasing, material planning, and supplier management to ensure a timely, cost-effective, and high-performing supply chain. This position plays a key role in optimizing global sourcing, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting cross-functional initiatives in Engineering, Production, Quality, Project Management, and Finance. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Lead the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials, as well as services. Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing performance. Oversee day-to-day procurement execution and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Leverage market intelligence for risk assessment, cost benchmarking, and supplier optimization. Material Planning
Oversee material planning to align with production schedules, lead times, and inventory targets. Utilize MRP systems and demand forecasts to optimize purchasing decisions. Maintain balanced inventory levels to support production and working capital goals. Identify and mitigate supply risks while resolving shortages proactively. Lead continuous improvement and supply chain optimization initiatives. Import/Export & Global Sourcing
Ensure compliance with international trade and documentation requirements. Partner with logistics providers to coordinate timely cross-border movements. Monitor global sourcing performance, tariffs, and regional risks to adjust strategies as needed. Support localization and supplier diversification initiatives. Develop supplier KPIs and lead regular business reviews. Drive cost savings and total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction efforts. Manage supplier transitions and onboarding to ensure minimal disruption. Leadership & Process Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement and material planning professionals. Implement lean principles, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal controls and proper documentation of all processes. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Demonstrated leadership and team development experience. Strategic thinker with a proactive, data-driven, and results-oriented approach. Knowledge of JIT, Kanban, and lean manufacturing principles. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Proven ability to manage complex global supply chains within manufacturing. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience leading procurement and material planning in a manufacturing environment. Experience with global sourcing and international trade. Strong ERP/MRP system experience and proficiency in Excel and analytics. Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) preferred. APQP certification and experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing are pluses. Willingness to travel up to 20%.
