Join a growth-oriented aerospace manufacturer with over 100 years of experience, specializing in aluminum and magnesium components for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and engines.

Responsibilities

Establish, implement and maintain processes and practices within the quality management system to deliver intended outputs.

Communicate the company Quality Policy and Quality Objectives to all organizational levels, aligning strategies with policy and objectives.

Maintain complete knowledge of the QMS system, ensuring conformance to AS9100 and Nadcap processes.

Interface with internal and external supply chain, customers and end consumers regarding customer complaints, external escapes and required audits.

Work extensively with key customers when quality issues arise and as audits or certifications are required.

Manage internal and external root cause and corrective action processes, mentoring and training internal staff and applying continuous improvement practices to the RCCA program.

Oversee companywide calibration processes.

Supervise production-facing aspects of Quality, including heat treat calibrations, outside processing inspections, specification review, operational change management and gage control.

Report performance of the quality management system to the Director of Quality Assurance.

Provide leadership for the Quality Assurance department and present weekly executive reports.

Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

5+ years previous experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role; previous aerospace experience strongly preferred.

Sigma Black belt, ASQ, Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred.

Attention to detail, strong communication skills at all organizational levels and with outside customers, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Working knowledge of ISO/AS9100/Nadcap and customer requirements.
