Job Overview
A leader in women’s fashion for over 30 years is seeking a Product Development Manager to join the team. This role will partner with cross-functional teams across multiple brands and lead the Product Development Process in women’s sportswear and knitwear. Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the development process from design through production Collaborate with upper management on product placement and new fabrications Log and track development samples, and follow up with the production team daily Review work-in-progress reports weekly to ensure timely production flow Daily communication with factories on development for pre-production and production Demonstrate good color sense, and ability to review lab dips, strike offs, and trims Communicate with retail customers for color approvals, testing, labeling, and packaging Follow up on approvals from design and production for incoming orders Maintain status charts in Excel to track development Issue and track sample requests, including sales samples and testing samples Requirements
5+ years of experience in wholesale apparel development Strong understanding of fabrications Strong organization and attention to detail skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and ERP systems Fast-paced, high energy, and multi-tasking capabilities
