We are working with a client in the

aerospace/defense industry

who is looking for a

Buyer

to support procurement for production and NPI programs. This role will be a 6-month contract due to growth and is fully on-site, located in Torrance. This role involves sourcing materials, managing BOMs, placing purchase orders, and supporting end-to-end procurement processes. Key Responsibilities

Source COTS materials and support procurement agents as needed Place and manage purchase orders, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain invoice accuracy Support engineering change management and BOM revisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams on part selection and supplier qualification Monitor supplier performance and mitigate supply chain risks Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support process improvements Qualifications

5+ years of buying/procurement experience required for role Experience in

aerospace, defense, government, or manufacturing

preferred ERP system experience (Oracle preferred) and intermediate Excel skills Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills Able to work onsite in Torrance, CA, 5 days/week Resourceful, proactive, team player Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field Experience supporting NPI or production scale-up programs Seniority level
