Lot Operations Specialist I - Overnight (Manheim) This zone owner position is responsible for maintaining order in the area they are responsible for. The role involves moving vehicles, communicating with other departments, and maintaining the flow of vehicles at all times.

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move area to the defined standard established by lot operations leadership.

Utilize information from the Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to stage the assigned zone area daily.

Implement continuous improvement efforts relating to safety and efficient movement of vehicles in and out of the assigned zone area.

Move vehicles and stage them in a safe arrangement to their proper work destinations, eliminating multiple drop-off points and less than full loads.

Confirm that all vehicles can operate safely and engage service and tow teams when inoperable vehicles are found.

Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to maintain accurate movements and eliminate the need for crew leaders to print and label staged units before transport.

Communicate with crew leaders and managers regarding inventory levels within the defined move area and prioritize decisions.

Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and treating all employees with respect.

Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.

Be a visible representation of Manheim's safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications – Minimum

High School Diploma/GED.

Generally, less than 2 years of experience in a related field.

Valid driver’s license required.

Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying flat tires, low gas, jump-starting vehicles.

Qualifications – Preferred

6 months of auction or driving experience preferred.

Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout preferred.

Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Physical Requirements

Required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear; vision abilities required to include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.

Must be able to walk long distances.

Work Environment

Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $13.37 - $20.00 per hour. Compensation may include commission and/or incentive programs.

Benefits Employees are eligible for minimum sixteen hours of paid time off every month, seven paid holidays, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave. Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
