is seeking a

Survey Crew Chief

in one of the below posting locations.

We will consider a candidate throughout the state of Indiana. Qualified candidates will perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout. This is not a contract position; we are looking to fill a permanent position where you will have the opportunity to establish or advance your career.

Posting Locations for this role: Statewide IN or Indianapolis, IN

Job Activities:

Perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys in accordance with the current ALTA/ NSPS Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys

Perform topographic surveys of small sites to large farm surveys with ATV's

Conduct Construction Layout for site development, commercial/ retail, residential, industrial/ warehouse, subdivisions, municipal and transportation

Perform As-Built Pipeline Surveys

Perform 3D Scanning, UAV and drone surveys

Specific Requirements include:

High school diploma or equivalent

5+ years of property surveys, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout

Proficiency with Trimble GPS, Total Station and Data Collectors

Mentors staff, participates in training, and prioritizes Farnsworth's Safety Culture

Communicates with their supervisor or project manager on a consistent, daily basis

Ability to organize field notes

Ability to read construction plans

Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team setting

Experience performing Boundary Research, preferred

Ability to execute field staking

Strong math skills

Ability to travel 80% required in this position

Valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance

Ability to work outside in a wide variety of weather and terrain conditions

Ability to regularly lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 100 pounds

Desired Qualifications:

PLSS monumentation retracement experience

Oil & Gas Pipeline experience

DOT experience

UAV license

FAA 107 license

LSIT or PLS license a plus
