Operations Coordinator Nurse – Oncology, Full Time Days. Join Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the Operations Coordinator Nurse – Oncology role. Salary range: $38.50 - $61.60 per hour. Placement within the range depends on relevant work experience and internal equity. For union-represented positions, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement. Supervise and direct the office’s front-line clinical and clerical staff. Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, progressive discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals. Oversee day-to-day office operations within budget guidelines. Assist with managing providers’ schedules and optimize patient care hours to enhance productivity. Schedule staff and allocate resources to maximize patient access, provider productivity, and staff efficiency. Conduct cash management duties, including co-pays, patient balances, in-house cash, and bank deposits. Ensure service excellence and perform service recovery as needed. Manage office and medical-surgical supplies within budget. Ensure accuracy of data collection and data entry by site staff and facilitate information flow to central offices. Conduct regular office staff meetings and participate in manager/supervisor meetings. Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times. Review and approve automated time reports for accuracy and develop tools to support staff. Provide input into staff performance reviews and offer one-to-one coaching and mentoring. Plan, execute, and resolve routine technical needs of the practice (phone, devices, PCs, etc.). Monitor daily transaction activity to ensure compliance with procedures and resolve complex or critical situations involving patients, staff, and customers with manager guidance as needed. Schedule staff and resources to maximize patient access, productivity, cost savings, and operational efficiency. Develop and implement policies and procedures as needed to support the practice. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of three years of work experience in a medical or related business Understanding of insurance plans including HMO, PPO, POS, commercial, Medicare, Medicaid Solid understanding of patient flow in a medical office Leadership experience Working knowledge of medical software, Word and Excel Experience managing daily cash activity and reconciling income reports with daily payments Current license as Registered Nurse in the state of practice CPR certification Preferred: Bachelor’s degree Knowledge of coding Supervisory experience Benefits
