Structural Bridge Engineer

This position can be based out of any Wisconsin office with hybrid work arrangements and flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
Complete design calculations and plan preparation for new bridges, bridge rehabilitation, and retaining wall projects in alignment with applicable design standards and specifications.
Perform in-person site visits and inspections of existing bridges and culverts and prepare and submit required reports.
Complete concept development and perform bridge sizing of proposed structures.
Complete quantity computations, cost estimates, and prepare special provisions for structures projects.
Complete bridge load ratings.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
4-8 years of bridge design experience including structural design of local, highway, and interchange bridges and ancillary structures
Wisconsin PE license, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Prior project experience with WisDOT and Wisconsin counties
Strong knowledge of WisDOT Facilities Development Manual and BOS Bridge Manual including standards, specifications, and procedures
Proficient in AASHTO LRFD design of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other ancillary transportation structures
Knowledge of MicroStation/AutoCAD and specialized bridge design software (HEC-RAS, AASHTOWare BrR, CANDE, MathCAD, Midas)
Proficiency with MS Office
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license
