Winter/Spring Co-Op (Jan '26 - June '26), Irvine, California. Responsibilities
Work with experienced engineers to design/develop RFICs for multi-chip modules. Design RF switches, low-noise amplifiers, couplers, and related front-end components (with a focus on RF switches and couplers). Run simulations using design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE, and related software. Tune RF front-end modules in the lab. Troubleshoot and resolve design or technical issues. Collaborate with other engineers and technicians. Evaluate RF parameters (e.g., IL, isolation, harmonics, IP3, Pmax). Validate performance across supply, temperature, and frequency against device models. Create compliance matrices against specifications, plot results, and present a results summary. Required Experience And Skills
Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD program. Commitment to onsite work for 6 months (Winter/Spring 2026). Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact. Strong interest in RF/microwave engineering and RFIC design. Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Desired Experience And Skills
Cadence Virtuoso, ADS, SPICE simulation experience is highly preferred. Cadence Virtuoso layout experience is highly preferred. EM simulation experience with EMX or HFSS is highly preferred. Hands-on lab experience with a network analyzer and RF instruments is highly preferred. Compensation
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is USD 26.00 - 47.50 per hour; for a Non-Engineering intern, USD 22.50 - 42.00 per hour. Starting pay depends on education, duties, and location. Equal Opportunity
