Responsibilities and Duties: As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and supervise the team members as they perform their tasks and participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management. Responsibilities include: Assumes Engineer of Record role for electrical discipline Provide overall direction for the design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities Design of overall power distribution system Perform calculations to support system designs Perform CA tasks, review submittals/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend CA meetings Conduct site visits to evaluate field installations and conduct field observations Manage assigned projects, including coordination and or direction for the design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basis Plan, schedule, conduct, and or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work while maintaining quality standards on all projects Lead design and construction meetings Mentor junior team members and assign duties to design staff Provide Periodic objective and comprehensive employee check-ins in support of Annual Performance Reviews Prepare and monitor contracts, fee proposals, and contract negotiations Collaborate with Business Development to build relationships and foster repeat work Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution Current Professional Engineering License A minimum of
5 Years as a Licensed Professional Engineer Ability to Obtain Professional Licensure in the State of Texas 10+ Years Experience
of Electrical Design experience, specifically in Municipal/Aviation, Education, Healthcare, and Commercial Office sectors 7+ Years
of Hands-on MEP Design Experience 3+ Years
of Project Management Experience 3+ Years
of Supervisory Experience directly over an MEP Design Team Seniority level
