Quality Assurance Technician - Jessie Lord Bakery The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring production produces consistent quality and safe products. Responsibilities
Collects hourly samples of pie fillings and finished pies Performs daily pie filling and finish pies evaluation, including the testing of Brix, pH, temperature, and viscosity of filling, total, monitors finish product weight, confirms all parameters are within specification, and conducts organoleptic properties evaluation of ingredients and finished pies Monitors and reviews Q.A. and production line paperwork for accuracy and completion Performs periodic checks on X-ray machines during production runs Performs periodic checks on finished products’ weight, temperature, and packaging date codes Performs daily inspection of production areas, equipment, and food containers for cleanliness Conducts and inspects X-ray efficiency and documents X-ray working conditions and records rejected products Monitors and records process control, such as Egg Tank Temperature Monitors and enforces GMP, SOP and SSOP procedures throughout the production facility Inspects and evaluates incoming ingredients for quality and possible food safety issues Coordinates with production to troubleshoot quality and food safety issues Documents incidents related to Food Quality, Food Safety, and non-compliance to initiate an investigation and find root causes and corrective action Food Safety Responsibilities
All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues observed to their supervisor Monitors and enforces cGMPs Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs Required Qualifications
Trained and certified in HACCP One year of related experience Ability to read and write effectively in English Basic computer skills Simple math knowledge ( Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages) High school diploma, equivalent or higher Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift 10-20 lbs Must be able to work in a loud environment with appropriate hearing protection Ability to walk through production areas Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception Wear proper footwear Schedule
Must be able to work any shift Pay range
$18.50 - $19.50 per hour Supervisor
