Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing exciting success and sustainable growth. We have a full-time position available for a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager. This position will take over the client and project management responsibilities for several long-term clients. It will be essential to have strong communication skills and a good working knowledge of municipal services including, but not limited to utility design and operations, stormwater management, funding sources, and general municipal operations.
Responsibilities
Lead planning, design, and construction for municipal projects including transportation, utilities, and site development Lead project proposal for new and existing clients Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and build on long-standing relationships Oversee schedules and budgets for projects including forecasting staff workloads and monitoring work task hours Prepare or direct the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projects Maintain client contact; prepare scoping documents, pricing, fee estimates and marketing strategies for proposed projects Attend client meetings, visit project sites to monitor progress and handle any construction administration issues Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews Mentor less experienced staff Travel and some off-hour meetings will be required. The successful candidate must have
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university At least eight (8) years of relevant experience PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states The ideal candidate will have
Experience preparing drawings and specifications for utility projects Experience with water distribution and sanitary collection design Experience coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary teams Wisconsin PE license Understanding of State of Wisconsin permitting Ability to communicate project goals to municipal staff and public Experience with public speaking and public meetings If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
