VanTassel Proctor Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Traveling Superintendent to oversee on-site construction operations for commercial and retail projects across multiple regions of the country. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at coordinating subcontractors, and is committed to delivering projects on time, within budget, and with uncompromising quality and safety. The Superintendent will serve as the on-site leader, ensuring seamless execution from mobilization through project closeout. Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, vendors, and field teams. Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure alignment on budgets, schedules, and quality control. Enforce rigorous safety protocols and full compliance with OSHA standards. Conduct daily and weekly inspections to track progress and maintain quality assurance. Manage project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and subcontractor approvals. Serve as the on-site client liaison, maintaining professional communication and relationships. Implement and utilize construction management software (e.g., Procore) for scheduling, reporting, and documentation. Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues or conflicts to keep projects on track. Qualifications
5-10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on large-scale mixed-use, commercial, or multifamily projects. Strong working knowledge of commercial construction methods, processes, and safety standards. Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for extended project assignments. Proficiency in construction management platforms such as Procore. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. OSHA 30-hour certification highly preferred (OSHA 10 accepted with commitment to obtain OSHA 30). High School diploma or GED required; advanced training or certifications a plus. Benefits
