Job Summary General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures electromagnetic and electric power systems supporting critical fleet, space, missile defense, power, and monitoring applications worldwide. Responsibilities: Operate multi-axis CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. Set up and produce first-piece runs for moderately complex parts. Use measuring devices to ensure part quality. Troubleshoot tooling and work-holding issues. Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area. Deburr parts and prepare raw materials. Operate CNC/manual machines and inspect parts per blueprints and gauges. Verify quality following GA procedures. Assist in layout, fabrication, and assembly as needed. Create simple tool paths using MDI for fixturing. Assist or train new machinists on principles and procedures. Follow all safety laws and regulations. Qualifications: Associate's degree, technical/trade school training, or equivalent with 4+ years of experience; additional experience may substitute for formal education. Ability to perform complex setups and fabrications. Knowledge of machining equipment and safe practices. Understanding of cutting tool wear, selection, and replacement. Ability to read G and M code and engineering blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T and work coordinate systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently and in teams, with flexibility for extended hours.
