Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer – Commercial & Municipal Projects — Location: St. Petersburg, FL | Hybrid Work Available. This is a confidential opportunity to work on high-impact projects that shape the infrastructure of commercial, municipal, and light industrial facilities—while enjoying the freedom to innovate and lead with confidence. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end electrical designs for diverse environments, from office buildings to municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors on project scopes, design, and delivery. Lead the design and documentation of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT infrastructure. Ensure QA/QC excellence across all project phases—from preliminary engineering to final design and inspection. Use tools like Bluebeam Studio, AGI, SpecLink, Excel, and Revit to produce and coordinate deliverables. Contribute to project planning and, where applicable, mentor junior team members. What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 10–15 years of relevant experience, including electrical systems design for commercial and municipal projects. Florida PE license (or the ability to obtain one) strongly preferred. Deep understanding of current codes and industry standards, with familiarity in LEED principles. Proficiency with photometric and power system analysis software (AGI, EasyPower, SKM, etc.). Solid grasp of Microsoft Office tools and document management platforms. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively. Willingness to travel for site visits and regional project support. Bonus If You Have
Experience in electrical design for water/wastewater treatment plants or pump stations. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Project management and business development experience. Why Join Us?
