Judge Direct Placement
Overview
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Controls Engineer for a Fortune 100 company in Indianapolis, IN. This role requires heavy travel.
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Troubleshoots all mechanical and electrical issues including but not limited to PLCs, various motion controls, multi-axis servos, SCADA systems, AC/DC drives, electronics, PLC to PC interface systems, pneumatics and photoelectric controls.
Reviews existing processes and recommends innovative methods for improving utilization of the equipment, and other resources.
Communicate and review operational performance of production equipment and develop solutions to improve productivity
Develop, maintain, program, and troubleshoot automation and control system solutions to support production of PLC’s and HMI’s
Oversee electrical panel design, layout, and wiring schematics
Write equipment specifications & flow charts
Work cross-functionally with engineering team to ensure maximum efficiency of production equipment
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities by recommending improvements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology
3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
PLC/HMI programming & troubleshooting experience REQUIRED
Allen-Bradley, Siemens S7, and GE Fanuc PLC, experience preferred
RS Logix & Wonderware software experience preferred
Ability to work in high-paced environment
