Room Service Server

to serve food and beverage items to customers in guest rooms in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. Full-time, Part-time Responsibilities

60% Take orders for and serve all room service requests, using suggestive selling techniques. 20% Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the F&B Managers. 20% Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment. Attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings as required. Provide guests with courteous, friendly, and efficient service. Answer phones using appropriate verbiage. Set up room service orders in a thorough and swift manner. Deliver food and beverage items to guest rooms and/or pool deck in a timely manner. Set up and deliver amenities in a timely manner. Assist Restaurant Service staff as needed. Explain all menu items and upsell as warranted. Execute all financial transactions. Perform side work and clear trays from guest room floors. Maintain service and sanitation standards according to health code regulations. Benefits

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must be able to facilitate the communication process. Must possess basic computer skills. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware. Must be flexible to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Physical Demands

Most work tasks are indoors; temperature is moderate. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures in kitchens or freezers for limited periods. Must be able to stand and move for extended periods. Must be able to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously and lift up to 30 lbs, push/pull up to 150 lbs, and reach various locations in the hotel. Needs Dexterity to operate necessary equipment. Qualification Standards

Education: High school or equivalent required. Experience: 2+ years as a food server in a full-service restaurant; customer service experience required. Licenses or Certificates: Minimum age to serve alcohol; Food Safety certification. EEO and Inclusion
