Material Handling Supervisor (M-F 10pm - 6:30am) Location:

Londonderry, NH

About the Role:

The Material Handling Supervisor oversees the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products within the Material Handling and Incubator departments. The position focuses on operational efficiency, team development, and continuous improvement. The supervisor reports to the Senior Material Handling Supervisor and works closely with cross‑functional teams to optimize plant material flow.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accountability for all aspects of food safety and quality within the department.

Lead and develop the team through effective training, supervision, and discipline.

Ensure compliance with all Company, FDA, and GMP requirements and SOPs.

Execute established KPIs and best practices to drive efficiency.

Oversee proper handling, organization, and efficient storage of all incoming materials.

Monitor material handling labor costs and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reduction.

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives focusing on efficiency, internal processes, production organization, and layout.

Collaborate with Inventory and Production teams to foster continuous improvement across all manufacturing areas.

Implement strategies to reduce material damage and errors, improving overall shift productivity.

Ensure proper disposal of all distressed products and recycled materials.

Maintain strict compliance with all material management and lot tracking procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Interview, hire, train, and evaluate employees; plan, assign, and direct work.

Appraise performance, reward, discipline, and resolve complaints and problems.

Address regulatory policies and applicable laws.

Work Conditions

Extended hours may be necessary depending on project needs.

Basic computer equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

2+ years of direct supervisory experience overseeing a team of 5 or more individuals.

Manufacturing and college experience a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience with powered industrial equipment.

Ability to manage stock receipt, storage, and distribution in accordance with established procedures and regulations.

Strong capacity to assess resources and capacity to meet process targets and plant requirements.

Proven ability to determine priorities, manage time effectively, and allocate resources efficiently.

Experience leading teams in daily operations – recruiting, goal setting, delegating, motivating, and developing a high‑performing team.

Demonstrated leadership presence and positive role model.

Ability to listen, understand, and prioritize employee feedback and propose solutions.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey and receive information across audiences.

Commitment to continuous learning and development.

Strong drive for continuous improvement and innovation.

Analytical mindset to uncover root causes and solve problems.
