It is the world’s leading center for pediatric burn care and is the only American Burn Association (ABA) exclusively pediatric verified burn center in New England and New York.The Boston Shriners Hospital is one of four pediatric burn specialty hospitals in Shriners Children’s health system and provide comprehensive care for cleft lip and palate, as well as other craniofacial anomalies, with a multidisciplinary care team.
Job Overview The Sr. Maintenance Technician works to assist in the performance of maintenance duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment and systems of the hospital in good working condition. Minor electrical, mechanical, piping, plumbing and HVAC work, repairs and other duties relating to the maintenance and engineering of the facility are the primary duties. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities
Operates, inspects, maintains, calibrates and repairs utility equipment, systems and structures throughout the buildingPerforms mechanical repairs to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC. Performs preventative maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation. Ensures proper safety education and demonstrates knowledge of facility safety policies. Covers evening or night shifts as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
