The Staff Tax Accountant prepares tax returns, standard accounting work papers, financial reports, and basic statistical and account analyses. Familiarity with tax concepts, practices, and procedures is required. Creativity and latitude are expected. This position will be part of the Closely Held Business team. FLSA Status:

Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare tax returns and conduct tax research. Compile, prepare, and maintain financial data and records per policies. Perform detailed accounting and statistical functions related to tax preparation. Organize work papers, supported by conclusions. Recap cash receipts and disbursements for trial balance. Research accounting issues using reference materials. Maintain accurate time and expense records for billing. Meet continuing professional education requirements. Enhance firm image with professional presence. Perform additional duties as assigned. Flexible work environment with modern arrangements. Offices open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. during tax season and close at noon on Fridays outside tax season.
