The Department of Radiology is seeking a full‑time

Sr. Grants and Contracts Analyst . The Sr. Analyst will coordinate post‑award administrative and financial activities related to sponsored projects in the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. The Analyst will support faculty with a portfolio of sponsors from private foundations, federal agencies, and commercial entities (clinical trials) and will manage sponsored projects post‑award functions that include budget development, account maintenance and oversight, billing/invoicing, reporting, compliance, and closeout. The Analyst works independently on a variety of grants/contracts that range from simple to highly complex and reports directly to the Grants and Contracts Manager for the Department of Radiology.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between research units, central offices and funding agencies.

Review budgets and related justification for appropriateness and completeness of content. Ensure all applicable and indirect costs have been applied.

Ensure compliance in all areas related to grant and contract management, including federal regulations, sponsoring organization guidelines, award terms and conditions, institutional, departmental, and divisional policies, internal protocols, accurate protocol information within grant documents, conflicts of interest, etc.

Maintain ongoing updates and communications on the financial status of current grants and contracts, including regular auditing and reporting to principal investigators and departmental/divisional leadership.

Coordinate the process of setting up awards after grant number is assigned, including reviewing the award, verifying award set‑up, and ensuring personnel is set‑up appropriately.

Ensure that post‑award responsibilities are completed, including budget distribution, account reconciliation, e‑form setup, effort reporting, cost transfers, and paying invoices. If an award includes a sub recipient, ensure paperwork is completed timely.

Coordinate the award closeout process, including working with Research Compliance to ensure the Financial Status Reports (FSR) are completed accurately and timely.

Conduct complex award management activities and provide oversight to other employees, including monitoring and managing accounts, audits, and evaluations and reporting.

Work with the Divisional Financial Analyst on analyzing internal awards and determining if projects are sponsored versus non‑sponsored/procurement.

Assist the Divisional Financial Analyst in determining research volume in the PET Service Center and obtaining other sponsored information on an as‑needed basis for reporting and the annual rate schedule.

Provide information and direct assistance required to complete contract and grant closeouts, including working with Sponsored Projects Shared Services.

Provide financial information to Division Director and Divisional Senior Administrative Manager by preparing monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year financial reports.

Participate in monthly Divisional Research Faculty meeting, which includes preparing and presenting Power Point presentations on sponsored related topics, working with the Divisional Senior Administrative Manager.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree.

Four years of related experience in sponsored research and/or financial positions, preferably in an academic or medical setting.

Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Classified Title: Sr. Grants & Contracts Analyst. Role/Level/Range: ATP/04/PD. Starting Salary Range: $62,900 - $110,100 Annually ($95,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience). Employee group: Full Time. Schedule: M-F 8:30-5. FLSA Status: Exempt. Location: Remote. Department name: SOM Rad Research Administration. Personnel area: School of Medicine.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University's salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications.
