Maintenance Technician I - First Shift

Salary Range: $23-$26/hr

Job Purpose

Servicing automated CNC machinery such as Swiss screw machines and other equipment. To line clear metal from the machine process and return it to material control. The purpose is to minimize working capital by performing the following duties.

Principal Accountabilities/Job Duties

Completes daily activities and checklist as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Maintenance Manager to ensure quality and timely support of the production and operation schedules. Remove excess oil and debris from CNC machines and mist collectors. Sorts, screens, and cleans scrap metal from machines. Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance activities. Maintains site hazardous waste and disposal, including maintenance of waste streams. Pumps used oil into 55-gallon drums and assists with the scheduling of drum removal. Maintains inventory items related to manufacturing, shipping, and hazardous waste. Re-stocks shop supplies as needed, including mineral spirits and IPA Operates and maintains a forklift as needed. Provides general maintenance to the facility as required. Maintains inventory and maintenance log sheets. Consistently upholds established housekeeping procedures to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing role or environment Forklift experience Use of various personal protective equipment is required for daily activities Occasional lifting of heavy objects up to 50lbs Frequent stooping and bending
