— The Superintendent will plan, manage and execute all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity, including managing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation, and meeting project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion. All activities support JE Dunn’s strategy, vision and values. Key Role Responsibilities - Core

Leads all aspects of the company’s safety culture and promotes an injury-free environment; investigates safety incidents and retrains staff as needed. Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job workflow. Oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO on small projects or portions of larger projects. Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work. Coordinates and manages care, custody and control of the project site. Leads meetings (daily standups, weekly trade meetings) and participates in appropriate progress meetings (OAC). Creates, manages, updates and implements the project schedule with the Project Manager. Monitors project budget and costs using project management system reports and PM input. Communicates key project information to owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments. Follows project filing and documentation systems; updates drawings, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks. Approves and records unit cost information for weekly reports and completes daily/ tracking reports. Evaluates progress on self-perform work and makes adjustments as needed. Manages material and equipment needs; supports MOC and DLSC procurement/approval processes. Assists in selecting formwork, tools and equipment for self-perform operations. Manages timecard approval for accurate hours and cost codes. Ensures quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC and outside resources. Supports project closeouts by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating with owner, architect and authorities. Develops project pursuit understanding; participates with field leadership to create a project pre-plan and adjusts throughout lifecycle. Partners with field leadership to establish field staffing and with PM to identify schedule and cost implications of changes. Participates in negotiations with owner/architect for project changes and in project review meetings. Participates in buy-out meetings with subcontractors and vendors; understands contract terms and conditions. Identifies and recruits top talent and promotes diversity and inclusion per JE Dunn policy. Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

Manages fairly complex stand-alone projects end-to-end; handles management, scheduling, production, safety and quality for their project portion. Identifies and actively manages project risks; leverages experience to propose solutions. Manages deliverables from internal resources (e.g., IPS, logistics) and participates in project pursuits. Participates in negotiations for project changes with owner/architect. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to perform work accurately, completely and on time. Communication skills (verbal and written) — Intermediate. Effective presentations — Intermediate. Proficiency in MS Office — Intermediate. Fundamentals of construction management, project processes, team relationship-building. Proficiency in project management and accounting software, JE Dunn construction technology, scheduling software; Lean knowledge — all at Intermediate. Knowledge of trades, self-perform and labor productivity; budgeting, profitability, and building relationships; organizational structure and resources; layout, crane flagging and rigging. Ability to understand document changes and impact to schedule; ability to collaborate with team internally and externally. Education

High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred). Experience

5+ years construction experience. 3+ years field supervision experience. Experience with Lean principles (Preferred). Working Environment

Valid and unrestricted driver's license required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. May require travel and/or relocation; may be exposed to extreme conditions; willing to work non-traditional hours.
