CT Technologist - Weekends Only - Memorial Regional Medical Center
CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying diagnostic imaging using CT scanning equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans. Shifts: 11:00 AM - 3:00 AM, 2 (16's).
Responsibilities
Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
Perform computed tomography procedures.
Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
Make radiation exposures by energizing the scanner.
Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures.
Assist the radiologist with biopsies and drainage procedures.
Maintain a working knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.
Education
Associate's from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred)
Licensure/Certification
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within 2 years)
State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
Experience
1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
PACS (preferred)
