Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing Experience: Two (2) years of Clinical RN experience,
prior experience in oncology Active RN license or valid temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Texas, permanent license must be obtained within 90 days. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Job Summary
The Oncology Nurse Clinician delivers proficient patient care to adult cancer patients in various settings,including outpatient clinics and infusion centers where chemotherapy is administered. The OncologyNurse Clinician will use the nursing process to competently perform patient assessments, formulatingnursing diagnoses and establishing goals, planning and implementing interventions, and evaluatingpatient care outcomes. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide for assessment andtherapeutic management of patient and family needs. Proficient in managing unexpected or emergencysituations that are commonly seen in assigned specialty population. Serves as a resource for LVNs andMedical Assistants. Can manage commonly seen contingency situations that arise on the clinical unit. Salary Range
Actual salary commensurate with experience. Work Schedule
