Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner role at American Family Care in Montgomery, AL Job Description American Family Care offers an excellent opportunity for experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join our team at AFC. Assess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in collaboration with a physician. Collaborate with physicians in managing patients with chronic illnesses. Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues. Educate patients and families on preventive care, healthy behaviors, medical issues, and medication use. Maintain accurate, confidential, and legible medical records. Document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, and referrals. Serve as a Medical Examiner and perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations. Order diagnostic tests as needed. Prescribe medications within your scope of practice. Assist in evaluating records for quality and standards, and implement improvements. Promote preventive care, including annual physicals, health education, and self-care skills. Stay updated with new medical knowledge and incorporate it into practice. Attend regularly to ensure smooth operations. $5,000 sign-on bonus Qualifications
Current licensure as a Certified Registered Family Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) or Physician Assistant (PANCE). Experience caring for patients of all ages. Proficiency in minor procedures. Experience in urgent care, emergency department, or primary care settings. Compensation and Benefits
