Compensation Estimated Weekly Pay: $2520 - $2700 ER RN Job Details Location: Wrangell, Alaska (99929) Facility Setting: Emergency Room, Ambulatory Care Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: October 6, 2025 – End: January 5, 2026) Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (primarily nights; may include days as needed) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Employment Type: Travel Nurse ER RN Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; ER experience preferred BLS and PALS certifications required upon hire; ACLS certification within 6 months Flu vaccination required Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in emergency situations Proficient in age-specific patient assessment and care (pediatric, adult, geriatric) Excellent oral and written communication skills Travel nurses must reside at least 50+ miles from the facility ER RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients of all ages in the Emergency Room Implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients with multisystem disease or complications Prioritize patient care based on acuity and patient preferences; adapt to changes and emergencies Initiate, manage, and document nursing procedures in line with clinical best practices and hospital policy Administer age-specific medications and therapeutics accurately Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and emotional support Supervise and delegate tasks to CNA/Tech staff as appropriate Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all hospital and healthcare regulations Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education, and competency assessments Apply now
