Travel Speech Language Pathologist Location
Facility in Anchorage, Alaska Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population using standardized assessments and clinical observation. Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, goals, and evidence-based practices. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document thoroughly in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing practices; provide supportive counseling as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Required Qualifications
Valid Speech Language Pathologist License compliant with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology SLP experience preferred; new grads are welcome to apply Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Benefits
