Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Family Practice Nurse Practitioner in Lakewood, WA, with base pay ranging from $65.00/hr to $75.00/hr. Start date: 10-06-25. Length: 13 weeks. Schedule: Standard 5, 8-hour shifts 08:00 – 17:00. Setting: Out-Patient Clinic. Position: Nurse Practitioner | Specialty: Family Practice Note: This is a locum tenens assignment intended to fill staffing gaps. Details may vary by facility. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions. Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices. Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly. Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with NP specialty (e.g., Family Practice). Active and unencumbered APRN license in Washington. National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty (e.g., AANP). Typical requirement: at least 1 year of clinical experience relevant to the specialty. Ability to work independently and within a healthcare team; strong communication and patient education skills.
