The Advanced Practice Nurse will assist the Neurocritical Care neurologist on the inpatient Neurocritical Care service. The APRN will see patients in consultation with the Neurocritical Care Faculty and coordinate clinical services with physicians and nurses from related specialties (e.g., emergency department, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, radiology, and residents). Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Certified in NIHSS, Dysphagia Screen, and familiar with Modified Rankin Scores Master\'s Degree in nursing for APRNs or Master of Science Awarded in Physician Assistant Studies Minimum of two years APP experience in an acute care setting, OR recently licensed APP with 5 years\' experience in an acute care setting Additional Information
Job Requirements: Collaborates in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service Collaborates with healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage patients\' health care problems as a resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate Manages post-procedure immunosuppression and labs in coordination with physician and pharmacist Coordinates specialized, multidisciplinary care and facilitates consults to assure timely and appropriate treatment Provides comprehensive health assessments, determines diagnoses, implements treatment plans, prescribes medical treatments, and manages health issues in collaboration with the designated physician Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages participation of others Performs other duties as needed Salary Information:
