Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is a rapidly growing group of emergency veterinary clinics with 5 locations across the Midwest. Our mission is to expand into and support communities that need 24/7 vet care. We believe in providing exceptional, around-the-clock care—because emergencies don’t just happen between 9-5. EVCC is veterinarian-led and values the perspectives and leadership of DVMs. The organization began with 36 area general practice veterinarians, and we maintain a collaborative environment across all locations. Emergency Veterinarian Medical Director POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our flagship Westville location needs skilled, friendly and energetic Emergency Veterinarians to strive for and achieve excellence in emergency veterinary medicine in the area.
Responsibilities
Provide quality and compassionate emergency care to a diverse range of patients in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with a highly skilled support team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technology to make critical decisions with confidence. Deliver emergency and critical care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Diagnose and treat a wide range of emergency medical conditions such as trauma, seizures, respiratory distress, and other urgent conditions. Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as needed. Communicate with the utmost compassion and provide support to pet owners. Collaborate with the veterinary team to create case-specific treatment plans. Maintain accurate records and stay current on emergency medicine advancements.
Qualifications
Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program Possesses state veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one Excellent problem-solving and ability to think quickly on your feet Experience in an emergency or high-volume veterinary practice Exceptional interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner, building trust and strong relationships with clients and their pets
