Position Overview Mercy Health Physicians Lorain
is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible
Medical Oncologist
to provide compassionate, high-quality, and personalized care to residents of the greater Cleveland area.
Opportunity Details
Establish an employed medical oncology practice within Mercy Health Physicians-Lorain. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance community health and address health disparities. The position is primarily clinical, with responsibilities including building relationships with referring physicians, participating in tumor boards, and promoting cancer screenings and healthy lifestyle habits. The expected clinical split is approximately 60% oncology and 40% hematology.
Candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to developing and strengthening the cancer treatment team. Board certification or eligibility is required.
The care team includes an on-site breast surgeon, general surgeons, thoracic surgeon, colorectal surgeon, pulmonologist, gastroenterologist, and pathologist, along with primary care and specialty providers, nurse practitioners, dieticians, and social workers.
Located on Mercy Health Lorain Hospital property, with infusion services offering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and oral chemotherapy drugs.
Mercy Health is committed to expanding multidisciplinary tumor boards and care services.
Experience with research and clinical trials is a plus.
This role offers a community practice environment with city co-location, supporting work-life balance and clinical excellence.
