Outpatient Advanced Practice Nurse – Pulmonary Med Critical Care Saint Peter's is the 5th hospital worldwide to earn Magnet status SIX times in a row. Our team of award-winning nurses is growing, and we are looking for talented, compassionate RNs to join our team. Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, within the limits prescribed by training, and in consultation with a supervising physician. Assist with evaluating and managing follow-up patients. Maintain a panel of continuity care patients. Assist with patient flow by seeing patients as requested by the attending physician. Assist with procedures if triage nurses are unavailable. Perform urinary catheterization, venipuncture, and other nursing tasks as requested by the attending physician. Assist physicians with other specialized procedures (e.g., skin biopsy). Coordinate on-call telephone coverage with physician. Assist with patient follow-up and review routine laboratory reports for abnormalities, notifying the responsible clinician according to urgency. When appropriate, contact families to return for further evaluation or treatment of conditions detected by screening. Document all aspects of patient care promptly and in accordance with practice guidelines, within 24 hours of patient care. Assist in developing APN role in Genetics, to teach other department personnel; teach medical students and provide in-service education for nurses and assistants. Share the nurse practitioner perspective with residents and other physician staff; assist with coordination of emergency policy and procedure including mock training exercises for staff. Assist with planning, developing, and implementing patient education activities appropriate to ages and development. Evaluate educational level and understanding of caregivers; explain illnesses, tests, home care, and medication administration with printed materials where needed. Demonstrate competency to provide care to specific age-related populations (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics); maintain CPR certification; attend mandatory in-service updates and continuing education as required. Assist with setting and revising practice policies; review current policies and suggest revisions; assist with writing new policies to improve efficiency and patient friendliness. Assist with routine paperwork, including calling in routine medication and vitamin refills and sharing patient information with other health care providers; complete school and daycare Supplemental Social Security Income forms. Requirements

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey Current Advanced Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey Current CDS and DEA credentials Master's degree in nursing required Two (2) years of experience in specialty strongly preferred Certified as a nurse practitioner in the State of New Jersey within area of specialty BLS certification as approved by the American Heart Association Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: 112,923.00 - 180,627.00 USD We offer competitive base rates determined by factors including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. Some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
