This role serves a K-12 school setting, providing 37.5 hours per week of contract services. Enjoy proximity to marinas and boating opportunities, with occasional weekend trips to Washington, DC, just under two hours away.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, and swallowing assessments using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses and create evidence-based treatment plans tailored to pediatric patients. Implement, monitor, and adjust therapeutic interventions to address speech and swallowing disorders. Educate patients and families on disorder management and strategies for daily communication enhancement. Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support effective patient care.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid Maryland state licensure or eligibility as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, software applications, and electronic health record systems. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
