A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an early childhood educational setting located in La Mesa, CA. This contract role offers approximately 8 hours per week with a somewhat flexible schedule, focusing on delivering bilingual Spanish Early Start assessments and working with the infant program.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct bilingual Spanish Early Start assessments to evaluate developmental progress and communication skills in infants. Provide targeted speech and language therapy services within an infant-focused early intervention program. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators, healthcare professionals, and families to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with clinical and educational guidelines. Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required.

Desired Qualifications And Experience

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience working in healthcare settings and pediatrics, demonstrating expertise in early childhood speech-language pathology. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) strongly preferred. Familiarity with school-based SLP roles and requirements. Fluency in Spanish to effectively conduct assessments and interact with bilingual families. Strong interpersonal skills to engage infants and collaborate effectively with families and care teams.
